Prayer & Praise Points

She Also Served.  It is with sadness and celebration that we remember Violet who was promoted into the presence of Jesus on 11th April.  She was with Book Aid from the very beginning, serving in her role as Treasurer for 18 years. Very soon after Book Aid London moved into Bromley House, Violet took ill and had to step down. We praise God for her ministry and support and fellowship through all those years.

 
Staff.   Pray for the staff of Book Aid that are suffering through sickness.  Also for  Declan & Heather as they get used to working at Ranskill and integrate into the team.
Peter (Ranskill) is moving to the Peterborough area to begin a new Book Aid Centre. Pray for the provision of a property to use as a base for this expansion of the Book Aid programme.

 
Containers.  On April 27th we loaded container No.230 and shipped it to South India. Pray and praise it on its way.  We are already prepared to send the next one into Nigeria and this will be loaded this month (11th May).  Other loads are in the process of being prepared for Zambia and Malawi.

 
Christian Resources Exhibition.  Just to remind you that the Book Aid van will once again be at this major Christian event which takes place this month at Sandown Park in the London area. We thank God for all the books that still continue to flow in through these events. Pray for those who will staff the van and daily drive it to be unloaded in our London warehouse.  A Book Aid van will also be on site at WEC, Bulstrode for their Mayday meetings. 

 

 

DAILY PRAYER POINTERS
SUNDAY.  Pray for the International programme of shipping books and Bibles overseas and for our partners who distribute the books on arrival.
MONDAY.  Pray for the local 'collectors' and the co-ordination of the work in the UK.  Pray for the recruitment of full-time and volunteer staff.
TUESDAY.  Pray for the team working in the shop at Barnard Castle, for good sales and contacts.
WEDNESDAY.  Pray for the teams working in the shop and preparing the containers for shipping overseas from the warehouse at Ranskill.
THURSDAY.  Pray for the teams working in the shop and warehouse in London.
FRIDAY.  Pray for the team and for the work at Templepatrick in Northern Ireland.
SATURDAY.  Pray for the ongoing work in South-West and for those that receive and store books destined for overseas.
